Subject: Aerobatics Bulletin board

Was browsing thru the IAC web page today, and it appears they will be
setting up a message board this summer. If it is a UBB board, that is a
good thing. UBB boards are more accessible than Usenet Newsgroups or e-mail
exploders, because you can easily access them from anywhere that has a
browser. They are more user-friendly too.

One thing I didn't like. The webpage implied that the B-board would be in
the "members only" section. I can see them wanting to pitch it a benefit of
membership, but it seems to me the boards will be utilized much more if you
don't have to log in or remember a password. So what if non-members read
them too? Seems like it could be a valuable recruiting tool to attract
non-members who are curious about aerobatics, thus boosting IAC membership.

Don't know why I'm posting here, I suppose. Mainly to let fellow NG users
know that another forum is on the way. And also just in case the national
IAC guys follow this NG. Perhaps I'll send a message to the webmaster
there.
