Curtis Pitts has designed and built 12 airplanes. These include the S1 series,
S2 series (NOT the S2B or S2C), Samson, 'lil Monster, Super stinker 11, and
Model 12. So, lets see,
s1
s1a
s1c
s1s
s1t
s2
s2a
s2e
samson
lil monster
super stinker
Model 12

The original Super Stinker is a Model 11-260. It was named Super Stinker to
stay with the theme of Curtis' prototypes Lil Stinker, Big Stinker(the only
S2), etc. A company was formed Called Super Stinker Inc. in Kansas and it/they
bought the rights to othe 11-260 and produced the plans that are available now.
The rights to the 11-260 were sold to Avait a few years ago and the version
that they produced a few copies of at the factory was called S1-11B. This
indicates, single place(S1), Model 11, B(restyled). At one time, I heard they
were gonna certify the S1-11B but I think that has faded away. Plans from
Aviat for the Super Stinker still call it the Model 11-260 as Curtis did.

The Model 12, as Curtis named it, had its prototype named Macho Stinker, again
in keeping with the theme. It has always been a Model number 12 even though it
had a name on it. A Beech Staggerwing is still a Model 17 even if it has
"STAGGERBITCH" painted on the side. We did some updates and mods to the Model
12 to improve several aspects.

The basic form S2C wings were designed by Curtis for Aviat who adjusted them
some before production. These wings were designed after the 11-260, the Model
12, and after we redesigned (with Curtis' help) the wings for the Model 12 to
include larger alum ailerons.
