What is the general opinion of a 7ECA as an introductory aereobatic
plane? That is, will it survive and be adequate for entry level basic
category competition (when I am ready for it)? Are there any
suggestions regarding the plane in general?

It seems to me that the smaller engine will make things a bit tougher,
but, it should save me some $$ when maintenance and operating costs (as
well as acquisition costs).
