A 7ECA is a great little plane that is just fine for basic areobatic work,
albeit all inside stuff. I learned in one from day one and, with the
exceptions of not having inverted fuel or oil, it was great for learning
the basics. When I got interested in aerobatics my instructor steered me
away from more powerful aircraft (such as a Super D and later a Pitts
S2a) saying 'if you can perform the basics well in a citabria- youl'll be
even better in a Pitts...'. I found that to be very true. I've got many
fond memories of the plane.
