Subject: Lycoming Timing

I was just curious.
I have always set my timing to the standard 25 deg. btdc on my O320.
I try to operate under 3100 RPM. Is it standard to move your timing forward
to accommodate the higher RPM.
If so, how much?
thanks
Mike
