This is the 50th year of the EAA Airventure Convention, and is not to
be missed!

The Old Orchard B&B (a historic farmhouse that operates as a B&B each
year for EAA, and is usually fully reserved a year or more in advance),
due to last minute cancellation of a family from France, has
unexpectedly open rooms for the duration of EAA. The Old Orchard is
located 7.5 miles NW of the EAA grounds, near Lake Butte des Morts,
with easy access to the grounds via multiple highway routes.

Shared rides to and from the grounds are available eac day. Shuttle
service to and from ATW, GRB, and OSH can be arranged at no additional
cost. Charter Buses are available from ORD and MKE. Shuttle service
to/from MSN can be arranged for an additional cost.
Difficulties? Just ask.

While no longer a functional farm, asparagus, family, children, and
friendships continue to grow here each year. The property is
heavily wooded with two private ponds for swimming and fishing.

European style Bed & Breakfast Accommodations:
Private rooms, towels, and clean sheets all provided, rooms are not
made up except as requested
European-style full breakfast every morning (not "continental")
Parking for everything but full-size RVs

2 Bedrooms with queen size beds (1 fully available, the other
available 07-19/25)
1 Bedroom with two twin beds (fully available, usually
used for children)
1 Bedroom with a full size bed (available 07-19/21 only)
1 Full shared bath upstairs with the bedrooms
1 partial shared bath downstairs, plus basement facilities

House Rules:
Smoking is allowed outside only, not in the house
Swimming is clothing-optional, but please respect others
Laundry is available, please ask.
Kitchen is closed except for breakfast

Past guests have come from all over the USA, Canada, Europe
(Sweden, France, UK, Germany, Nederlands), and Australia. This
year's host is moderately versed in Spanish and Swedish, the
hostess is fluent in German.

Rates are $65/night for singles in a private room, $75/night for
couples (small children included). Mention this internet posting
for a $10/night discount.
