I am interested in using a drogue to make landing in some of our small
Northern Irish fields a little easier.

I am aware of several different designs, some are harness attached, some are
hang point attached some are keel attached. In addition I would quite like
to be able to release it or effect its drag in the case that I am coming
down a bit short. I had a go at making my own harness attached one but it
was stolen from my car before I had a chance to use it and would just like
to buy one now! There is only one person I know of uses one in Ireland so I
would like to understand what others think.

Is a release mechanism a good idea ?
Where is the best attachment point ?

Which manufacturers drogue would be most suitable for these requirements ?

I fly a Stealth and live in the UK/Ireland.
