The most clever setup I've seen is to use a camcorder that has a
"video in" RCA port as well as the usual "video out" ports. I
think some Sonys have this feature. With this, very small cams
($50-100) can be mounted at various outboard points, and the the
video sent back to the camcorder, which is located in the pilots
pccket, etc., along with the battery to run the cam . I think
this is used in a lot of the skydiving filming setups.
