Subject: Newbie doesn't want to die yet. Possible HG trade?

Hi! I'm a newbie wannabe hang-glider pilot. So far, I've only flown a
couple of low-altitude solos (30 sec - 2 minute) and 5 tandems from 2500 ft
tow.
I guess my excitement got the best of me and I bought a used hang glider.
Once I told my instructor what it was, he laughed. It's a "Moyes GTR 162 VG
RACE" (mid 1980's). He said that it's referred to as a "super ship" which
is high-performance for racing. He then explained to me that if I were to
try to fly it at my extreme beginner stage, assuming that I lived, I would
be so scared that I would probably not return to the sport. He said that
I'd have to be rated as a "Hang 4" pilot before even thinking about messing
with it, and by that time I'd probably want something brand-new.
With that said, would anyone like to possibly trade me some stuff that I
could actually use for it? I'm in need of all of the beginner stuff:
Helmet, harness, parachute, vario, etc... Maybe even a utility-class
glider?
FYI: I'm located in Phoenix, AZ. When I had it shipped from the seller in
Sacramento, CA, it cost me about $80 to have it crated and $50 to have it
shipped.
Thanx!
