Mac Para make a rogallo type reserve for paragliders. It is steerable and
and ahas a glide ratio of 2.5 or 3 to 1 IIRC. I have seen a number of
pilots use it (for demo purposes) and while testing prototypes of wings.
Every opening was sucessful and the parachuste is certified.
Once teh chute is open, the pilot completely releases the paraglider through
the use of quick outs.
