Dew point can either be measured by an electronic system which calculates
the values from individual (but sometimes combined) air temperature and
humidity sensors or if you want to do it simply, get two thermometers and
keep the mercury bulb end of one of them covered by a damp cloth sock (the
wet bulb temperature). The dew point can be calculated from formula or
tables you will find on the net eg
http://www.srh.noaa.gov/elp/wxcalc/wetbulb.shtml (there is a very small
effect due to barometric pressure)

You can get these as combined units lookink like an old football rattle
where they will come with the convertion tables included eg.

If you want to set something up, you might consider a wireless option such
as http://www.valcoelectronics.com/oregon/wmr968.htm. The only downside
here would be when temperatures dip to freezing the battery performance
effect tends to hit the accuracy, then die completely.
