The Indiana Dunes is a great place on north wind days! Just check in at the
HQ and show them your USHGA card.
There's also a school in Traverse City, MI last I checked.
Problem is (and I hope this doesn't come as a shock), Illinois is pretty
damn flat! I lived there for many years.
Other possibilities:
1) There are some nice bluffs along the Illinois River down by Ottawa. It
would probably require private landowner negotiations.
2) The northwest corner also has some vertical relief, but I've never
checked it out.
3) The area around Baraboo, WI has some ski runs, that might provide some
possibilities.
4) Get a motor.
