Your best bet as a beginner would be to get a large Aeros Target. Go
here: http://www.aeros.com.ua/products/hg/first_love.htm

You'll find a dealer via the distribution link on the site. They are
dead easy to fly, are light in weight and they also short pack to six
feet which other gliders do not do.
