I have been offered an Icarus II by a friend. It is poor condition but I can
restore it fairly easy. I am wondering whether it is worth it. It is the
kind of machine I like but what is it like as a flying machine? Has anyone
here had any experience on one or would know ANYTHING! Flying qualities,
stall, landing, take off etc. The designer is still around but he wont reply
to my emails...
I have seen a film featuring one (with rather unrealistic flying qualities
such as 500ft climb from a foot launch in nill wind and 40mph landing...)
called "Fly Away Home".
Any info would be a help.
