Subject: Should I have my KNS80 or KLN88 IFR Direct certified?

Buy the latest FAR / AIM: Make sure you have the most up-to-date FAA regulations. Buy a new FAR/AIM today!

I am working on my IFR ticket, and own a 77 Commmander 114, The IFR cert.
check is being done now. The cost for the Loran KLN88 or Rnav KNS80 (both
slaved to HSI) IFR Direct certification is $250. I don't plan to purchase
an IFR GPS for another couple of years.Trying to decide which box to
certify, if any.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
