have some patents that may be of interest to the denizens of this newsgroup.
<p>"Pilot Aid Using a Synthetic Environment" uses GPS and other appropriate
instruments to determine the pilot's position and attitude. This is used
with a Digital Elevation Database to create a synthetic view of the world
for the pilot unhindered by weather or aircraft structures. This would
be good for preventing CFIT. There are some other advantages as well.
<p>I also have two patents for compressing the data for Digital Elevation
Databases.
