have a look at the chetaah www.echflight.com it has mapping, nexrad,
email, and all the nos charts in a bright display for about 4k. includes
the gps. its not a coupled gps but far more useful than the 430 when it
comes to display. I have a coupled 90B with dual vors,glideslope, etc.... i
cannot see spending a large sum of money for a display only..
the market is moving quickly. whatever is bought today will be outmoded in
about 4 years. Having nexrad metars, tafs and email on board for long
flights, especially on the east coast in the summer is extremely valuable.
you still need a stromscope. there is lots to chose from....
