It's hard to describe. It's not that they don't log 100 hours a
month, or whatever it is. Certainly way more hours than I do. But
maybe it's that with an airliner the autopilot flies the plane 95% of
the time. Or maybe that the landing sight picture is so different.
Their navigation, radio skills, and all the rest is superb, but
actually flying the plane seems different somehow than what I'd expect
from a pilot logging a thousand hours a year.
