You don't mention the turn coordinator/turn-and-bank anywhere. What is
it showing? That's what you should be looking at since the purpose of
timed turns is to practice making standard rate turns to headings
without the assistance of vacuum gyros. It's a common exercise early in
instrument training to calibrate the turn coordinator - i.e. make
standard rate turns based on the turn coordinator (bank angle and
airspeed don't mean a thing to the turn coordinator) to see where you
need to set the indicator to get 3 degrees per second. It might not be
right on the mark.
