If I have to land at an alternate, it would be either for weather or
because of aircraft problems. 99% of my IFR flying is single-pilot. I
don't want to depend on an autopilot for an emergency (the emergency
could very well be associated with an electrical problem!). I
shudder to think of trying to print charts for an unplanned approach
while coping with weather and / or aircraft problems. Particularly in
a fast-moving high traffic area.

The simple, old-fashioned method of opening a book will remain my
choice.
